Registration for ECFE Winter/Spring classes begins Monday, November 23, 2026 at 8:30am.
Early Child and Family Education (ECFE) is a family education program for parents and their children from birth to kindergarten age. Our classes, special events, and other programs are designed by highly qualified teachers specifically for families with young children.
ECFE classes provide:
- Parents and children explore age-appropriate activities designed to enhance learning.
- Parent education-licensed educators provide resources and guide group discussions about child development, parenting techniques, and current issues concerning today’s families.
- Children play in a stimulating and caring environment with licensed early childhood teachers.
- High-quality childcare (“sib care”) is available for siblings not enrolled in class.
A complete list of ECFE classes and events can be found at the Waconia Community Education & Recreation website.
We are located at 520 Industrial Blvd in Waconia.

In Minnesota all children are required to complete Early Childhood Screening before kindergarten. However, the preferred age to screen is between 3 and 4 years old. Schedule an appointment today!
