The ISD 110 Wellness Committee is an action-oriented advisory group that focuses on the health and well-being of students, staff and families in our school community. The school wellness committee implements the district wellness policy and leads other health-related initiatives.
Our Mission
Our mission is to promote a healthy school environment that supports the physical, emotional, and social well-being of all students and staff.
Our Vision
We are committed to fostering lifelong healthy habits through nutritious food choices, regular physical activity, and comprehensive health education. By working together with families, staff, and the community, we aim to create a safe and supportive environment that encourages wellness and academic success for every student.
The purpose of this policy is to set forth methods that promote student wellness, prevent and reduce childhood obesity, and assure that school meals and other food and beverages sold and otherwise made available on the school campus during the school day are consistent with applicable minimum local, state, and federal standards.
